Let me start by saying today was an awesome day. Since it’s Presidents Day, all my classes were canceled so my day was completely free. I spent some quality time with my dad at the Coconut Grove Art Festival this morning and checked out some amazing art- some local, some not. I’m not sure what I love more about art festivals, the art, or the kettle corn. My dad and I downed about a pound of the stuff and immediately after started eyeballing the frozen lemonade stand like it was the last source of food on Earth. Of course, the only other thing to take my focus off of food is jewelry (yeah, I’m not girly at all). A lonely booth next to the lemonade stand had the most incredible collection of rings and cuffs I think I’ve ever seen. Since I was practically drooling over the stuff, the jeweler was nice about allowing me to take a few photos so I could post them here. The last photo is an Instagram shot (follow me: cristymantilla_wecanpretend) I took of the lucky beaut’ I took home with me. So in love. After asking him for his card I found out he’s from St. Pete and only here for the weekend show. No website. No store. Nothing. My only option is driving a full five hours if I ever want to snag any of his stuff. Sooo, if anybody’s ever interested in taking a little road trip, let me know cuz I definitely plan on making an excuse to plan a weekend trip to St. Pete.
