Everyone’s first thoughts when Hervé Léger’s Fall/Winter 2012 collection showed at the tents during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week — bandage meets bondage! Hervé Léger, a label that goes unanimously with the metallic and sexy body-con bandage dress that gets form fittedly worn by celebs like Megan Fox, got real S&M and leather this week during the Fall 2012 runway show.
BODY-CON SILHOUETTES
The collection stayed true to Hérve Léger’s classic body-con silhouette. Bandage dresses were shown reigned the collection, wrapping tightly around the waist to show womanly shapes. Other silhouettes included long flippy skirts that hit above the knee.
BONDAGE
The label’s designer Max Azria was not shy to show a plethora of leather “bondage” corsetry and harnesses in his Fall 2012 collection. Every single model wore a brown or black leather harness around their waist and shoulders, making every one of them look like a fierce, bad bitch.
FURS
Furs were big for Fall 2011 and continue in Hérve Léger’s Fall 2012 collection. Black fur sleeves, skirts, and shoulders were worn beneath leather harnesses to make a few of the outfits look beast-like.
GLADIATOR EQUESTRIAN BOOTS
The collection took a bit of inspiration from equestrianism with muted colors in black, beige, brown and white and the riding boots. However, the equestrian theme was a bit more glamazon with the below the knee boots that had gladiator straps, creating a sexier, edgier feel.
