1. GIVE IT A ROLL
If you want to stick with a classic pair of blue jeans, give them a modern kick by rolling them up a couple times at the ends. Wear a printed blouse and half tuck it into your jeans for that casual daytime look. Since the jeans are rolled up, make sure you’re wearing a pair of statement heels or shoes. A pair of metallic or two toned heels would work great for the outfit.

2. WEAR A TUXEDO BLAZER
If you’re not entirely sure how your flares can work for the office, just put on a fitted tuxedo blazer over a chambray blouse—you’ll automatically look professionally dressed. This chic work look can go with a pair of wedged sandals or a pair of loafer heels. Carry a neutral colored leather satchel as your work bag and wear a short scarf as an accessory.

3. BRIGHTEN YOUR DARK JEANS WITH MINT AND PASTEL
Pastels and mints are the major trends to incorporate into your wardrobe this season along with metallics (think 3.1 Phillip Lim Spring/Summer 2012 RTW). Prevent your black skinny jeans from looking grungy this spring by putting on some mint and pastel colored tops and swapping black shoes with a pair of crisp white or metallic shoes. Wear matching accessories, like a bold silver cuff bracelet. You can make the outfit more bright by wearing a neon yellow tank top to peak from underneath your knits.

4. PUT ON STATEMENT PIECES
Every girl needs to have that one statement accessory that completes an outfit. Put on one of your favorite statement pieces over your knits. In this case, it’s a plexiglass collar and a gold, fish scale sweater. Make sure the rest of your outfit doesn’t overshadow by wearing a muted pair of jeans and heels.

5. PUT ON A UTILITY JACKET
Rational girls who live in a windy city— your best friend is a sporty anorak and a simple pair of loafer flats. Utility jackets were big in Milan, and the loafer flats are just a season-less wardrobe staple. With a utility outfit, add interesting textures and cuts with a long top partially tucked in. You can look less tomboyish by wearing a bright colors and a pair of light colored jeans.
