I went digging through Obachan’s clothes in search of some
“smart business casual” looks to wear for work. To my delight, I not only found a bounty of vintage work appropriate dresses, I also found this amazing skirt! Everytime I go for a little hunt in Obachan’s closet, she never ceases to amaze me with the style of her younger self. We’re definitely one in the same as she still had the tags on this skirt and seems to save every piece of clothing..and I mean EVERY single thing.

Soo..to pay homage to the younger Obachan, I put my own spin on her skirt and paired it with a crop top, feather earring, and my Jeffrey Campbell Joe boots, to add a little grunge edge to such a pretty skirt. Not only is it still in perfect condition, the detail of the pleating and the gold threading throughout the skirt is like the icing on a cake..delicious perfection! It was such a fun piece to wear and style, not to mention twirl around and around in. Domo arigato Obachan!
