I was sent this dress by Republic to style whilst I was the guest blogger for their blog for the month of January. I’m not going to lie, I was pretty dubious about it at first. The funny thing about fashion blogging is that sometimes an outfit you’re not sure about in real life can look amazing in photographs and totally change your opinion of it, and that is exactly what has happened with this one for me! I normally steer well clear of anything too pink, for fear that it will make me with my blonde hair look like a barbie doll! I wasn’t too sure about coloured animal print either, but you know what? Turns out I love it! I love the quirky edge it gives this look, and with some kitsch vintage-esque accessories, it makes for a pretty cool look after all.
I went for an on trend colour-clash with this look by adding my red satchel bag and coral nail varnish, and when I next wear it I’m going to add a cropped red jacket too for even more clashing! What do you reckon? Too much? Too teenage-emo-esque? Or actually pretty good?
