I refuse to be sick for New Year’s Eve… I’m wearing Glitterati for crying out loud.
Haha. I remember how Miranda Priestley’s first assistant, EMILY felt when she was ordained an incubus of viral plague and she said in that as a matter of fact tone of hers, “I refuse to be sick, I’m wearing Valentino for crying out loud.”
Anyway, my body decided to end the year with a headbanging flu, sore throat and bloody red eyes (the pink eye, I guess) that makes me want to scream. I hate getttng sick especially on the Holidays and this was just wrong timing. Argh!
To think, me and my yaya Estre slaved away for days and days working on my little black dress which will be part of Glitterati’s spring collection. I will make sure I get to wear the dress ending the year and beginning a new one no matter what. A pink eye and a viral infection won’t stop me.
On the bright side, my bangs are useful as a makeshift eye patch to cover the eyes. Please pray I get better soon. I cannot welcome the year in bed with a sweater and layers and layers of comforter and bedsheets.
Anyway, do check out, Glitterati on STYLE BIBLE and PARTY PHOTOS for photos from our launch last December 19.
Thanks to Isha Andaya and Renee Puno for covering the event.

If you subscribe to Gossip Girl’s character-driven fashion, listen up.
Nina Estacio and JL Ladrido are the latest style duo to try their hands at designing with their online label Glitterati. The two followed in Little J’s footsteps with a (not so) guerilla show of their own in Piedra last December 19, cheeky soundtrack included.
“I love their designs—it’s so cupcake!†exclaimed Jenni Epperson of the frothy confections of her protégée, Nina.
The stylist-in-training, and her stylista sidekick have been spotted on the town in what’s becoming their tell-tale pouf skirt plus tube combo. Could it be the lack of said skirt in this sleek and tailored market that prompted the birth of their line?
The brand’s seven-piece, introductory collection has more to offer. Three kinds of cat suits show foresight into the all-in-one trend that’s slowly creeping into the party scene. The most wearable is in royal blue jersey, it’s tank top effect and pockets make it a great casual piece. A bolder choice is in a satiny orange whose ruched pant legs limit it to the confident, leggy variety.
A lace dress with a sweetheart nekline, a zippered skirt, and a backless dress all reminisce what a GG lead girl has worn at some point. Nina and JL seem to have their preferred trends in order.
