My husband was recently contracted to be the tech guy for a beautiful lodge resort. He had to travel out of town to go do some onsite work for a few days. He was comped a room and so brought me along. Our room is right on the lake with an amazing view of the frozen water and surrounding mountains covered with snow. The sunsets are heavenly!
While my DH worked away i had to entertain myself. Never hard to do as i am the queen of self distraction. I took the alone time and change of atmosphere to do an impromptu photo shoot of myself. It took some time to figure out the best set up but i think the end results were worth the effort.
I brought along a few cute outfits to wear about town as it is a bit of a special occasion to stay in such a fancy hotel surrounded by the breathtaking nature all round. Today’s outfit cost me about six dollars in total as most of my pieces were either gifts or attained form a local place called “the free store”.
My wool, army green, gap jumper was attained from said free store. As was my pin striped vintage shirt. It is a fun and unique piece with it’s high collar, puffy sleeves, and ruffled front details. The black belt with it’s round scroll design buckle was gifted to me from a friend. My Forever 21 tights are the same from my earlier Thanksgiving post which is what cost me those six dollars. Totally worth every cent though, i wear them constantly and they have yet to rip or run! Finally my new Betsey Johnson ruffle boot that i got for Christmas! I adore them and they always get compliments. Dressy or casual they go with everything.
I ended up doing my hair in curls and then combing it out into what makes me think of a WWII hair style. Between the hair and the army green jumper i was humming Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy while i prepped myself. lol Thus the Company B title.
Anyway hope you enjoy the pics. They turned out fun and i had fun getting all dolled up and posey for them. Be sure to give me a vote if you like what you see. <3
