I deliberately chose to pick the weirdest most uncomfortable looking picture of me in this outfit. I look all nerdy and gawky and my arms are hanging out in weird angles.. eugh, so not appealing. But somehow I figured this would be perfect for this blog entry.
This post is dedicated to my friend who a couple days ago gave me an iPad- yes, an IPAD- for my birthday. Til this very moment I still don’t understand what force of nature could have driven him into giving me an iPad. I choose to believe that he was under the influence of some sort of meds.
A little bit about this dude. He calls himself a “Client Service Engineer”, which personally I think its a fancy name for “talented geeky programmer with a side of good social skills”. He’s probably one of the smartest persons I know who I can talk to about almost anything. Throw him any question, from “what was the GDP growth of Thailand like in 2010” to “Dude, how do I make homemade egg rolls?” and he’ll most likely know the answer. I’ve always considered myself a geek because I like computers, and I always try to keep up with the news, but next to him I feel like my head is made of fluff. I don’t mind it though, its fun having super smart friends.
I feel kind of bad because I didn’t respond as exuberantly as I should of have when he gave me the present. I blame my brain for having such a slow processor. I was in shock and awe for longer than I expected, and the excitement of getting a shiny new toy came much much later. I’d feel crummy if I gave my friend something and all they did was stare blankly into space. So this is probably my way of saying I’m sorry. And also my big THANK YOU for my awesome birthday gift.
