This is my brand new jacket. I purchased it with the gift card I got for Christmas.

So flash back to Christmas Eve. I’m opening my present from my uncle (we drew names this year) and it’s a large sweater box from Macy’s. I’m thinking “Oh great, a sweater that I will probably hate.” I’m prepping myself for awkwardness, but instead I find a chocolate bar and a $50 gift card to Forever21. Somebody did their homework! I have a feeling it was my aunt, because she reads my blog all the time (thanks Aunt Anita!). I think it may have been my favorite gift this year. Some may argue that gift cards are tacky, but I disagree. They keep the excitement going; it’s so much fun thinking about what you’re going to buy with your free money!

Now, here we are, I’ve got a swanky new jacket (I don’t own many cropped ones) and a pair of nice grey trousers, that I’m looking forward to wearing when the weather warms up!
