I’ve got hamster face = BIG FACE. What’s the deal….
This is the maxi floral print dress that I bought at the smelliest, ugliest consignment store while shopping on Valencia. The dress is really large so I belted it and safety pinned the back. It was only $10 and in mint condition. The Zara shoes are also vintage at around $20. SCORE! Seriously, the most expensive thing I’m wearing today is either my thin belt or my necklace.
You can find great vintage clothes under $25 at some of the crappiest looking stores. Unless the item is high quality, in a style that flatters your shape, or a brand name, there’s really no reason to be spending over $25 on a vintage piece. You just have to go to the right places, ie. San Francisco or even Good Will. Try to avoid buying vintage clothes online or at curated shops where they jack up the prices too ;) If there aren’t any good shops near you but you still want recycled clothing, find good online stores by looking out for quality items (the prices are usually $40 and up). And don’t forget you can always cut and hem clothes yourself to get the style you want.
Just some tips that work for me, although I know some girls would disagree.
