Today was just a quite day, which was much needed after hard week at work and all the misfortunes that happened lately.
In fact, I actually have some good news! I guess I entered some kind of contest on Glamour.fr a month or so ago. I am saying I guess, because I don’t really remember. It was all in French. And despite my (very doubtful at the moment) knowledge of French, I think I missed something. I missed but I gained. Fortunate irony. Well I happened to be one of the winners of that contest without even knowing – how sad am I??? Kind of sad, but very happy!
The reason I uploaded those pictures on Glamour.fr in the first place was I was just trying to create a profile on that site. So I guess I entered the contest absolutely accidentally. And you can imagine my surprise about two weeks ago or so when I discovered in my emails that I won 150 euros to spend at MonShowRoom.com!! I could not believe it and kept re-reading the letter (in French again, hehe), but no, everything was correct, my outfit won me some money!!
Well, let me say first the site is in no way inexpensive, and I would have probably never been able to afford anything – anything – from it. But hey, I got 150 euros now to buy anything I want!! (I don’t know how much exactly it is in dollars, around $200, I believe, since euro dropped considerably lately). There were, of course purses and shoes for over $600, a lot of stuff around $200-300. But I managed to stay on budget and choose things I loved:
1. These lace up wedges are the first item I got. I just needed a pair of brown shoes. Strange as it sounds but all my shoes are blaaack!!!
2. This white shirt. I dreamed about one like that for a while. Casual, simple, boyfriend-like, FREE! Awesome!!!
3. Gold Earrings. They are fun, but honestly I was just looking for something under 7 euros to get me to 150 euros. It totaled at 149, ugh!
I also got a clutch that did not make it to this outfit. It’s turquoise and I can’t wait to show you guys!
