What I wore for the first part of my New Year’s Eve. Instead of the usual NYE goal to go brighter and tackier, I resorted the most classic color palette…black and white. I love monochromatic dressing when done right. I feel that when the colors are simple, the other aspects of the outfit should be more interesting…hence the addition of ruffles, sequins, faux fur, and wool.

Austin had a relatively mild temperature range for our NYE and a light coat was sufficient. I hope all Chictopians had a great New Year’s Eve and I wish everyone on here a happy 2012!!!
