Rather a simply put-together outfit. My friends were telling me I looked like I had moss on my back because of the vest. Which reminded me of something that’s important.
STAYING TRUE TO YOURSELF
I love my friends dearly, and they accept me for who I am, but of course the usual snarky comment is inevitable, completely inevitable, unless you have a friend with no opinion- that would be too bland for me. In reality, I’m the only “fashion person” in my group of friends. I’m solitary in my inquests of the trends, personalities, etc. In such a situation it’s very hard to lose yourself, who are you? What do you follow, who do you listen to etc. It’s very much a confusing time for a teenager,it’s confusing and stressful enough being just a teenager. But, there’s one thing my friends always remind me-“be yourself because we love you for who you are” If they had been more poetic they basically have said “Stay gold , Ponyboy, stay gold”
It’s really rather quite simple-you’re always the best when you are yourself. You are gold when you are you.
