i have a lovely little story about these jeans, and i’d like to share it. at the crossroads vip shopper party (omg i haven’t posted since then?!?) i was trying on wax-coated jeans in a brand i had never heard of in the color purple. my dressing room was pretty dark, so i peeked out to ask a crossroads employee that if another room opened, i’d like to have it because i wanted to see the color on the jeans. he looks at the jeans and asks, “what size are you?”. i reply and he turns away and then back with a pair of j brand wax-coated jeans in hand – oh, you know, in my size! they were a bit snug, but i made them work.
little did he know, i had been searching for a perfect pair of wax-coated denim to give it a shot. and i was planning on going to the department store to pay full price for the very same jeans the next day. instead of paying $200, i got mine for $27. a very happy ending to my night, indeed!
(and yes, the hat phase is still in full force. i can’t seem to take this one off.)
