It was my dad’s annual company Christmas party at the ultra-posh and exclusive business club called Tower Club and he asked me, my sister fresh from the U.S. and my brother to do the judging for the beauty pageant his employees had. It was so cute they were all dressed in suits and elegant ballgowns… I felt like a judge at Miss Universe. Hahaha
Anyway, I was thinking of the most judge appropriate cocktail dress in my closet and this was what came to mind. It is a purple jersey dress that is draped to perfection with an asymmetrical sleeve that was also draped so beautifully at the back. I got it from Tyler about ages ago and forgot all about it until this occasion.
I FELT LIKE VENUS IN THE HALF SHELL IN IT!!!
It was such a siren dress. The hem was too short on me though but it was all good since my legs were on showcase that night according to my sister. I missed her dearly!
Paired the dress with purple two toned satin Maryjanes I got. The pink part in front is contrasted by a purple satin color in the back that went well with my dress’ color. Wore minimal accessories since the dress was drama enough and paired it with a classic 2.55 and lilac eyeshadow. It was very festive and my dad appreciated the effort i put into it.
Got a long draped detail dress in Red after the party.
Hope it worked. I felt so chic in it. Like Gwyneth in her bob and her asymmetrical dress. (Teehee)
Cheers! Happy Holidays everyone! xx
GLAMOROUS
f you ain’t got no money take yo’broke ass home
You say: If you ain’t got no money take yo’broke ass home
G-L-A-M-O-R-O-U-S, yeah G-L-A-M-O-R-O-U-S
We’re flyin’ first class
Up in the sky
Poppin’ champagne
Livin’ my life
In the fast lane
And I wont change
By the Glamorous, oh the flossy flossy
The glamorous,
The glamorous, glamorous
By the Glamorous, oh the flossy flossy
The glamorous,
The glamorous, glamorous
By the Glamorous, oh the flossy flossy
Wear them gold and diamonds rings
All them things don’t mean a thing
Chaperons and limousines
Shopping for expensive things
I be on the movie screens
Magazines and Poseur scenes
I’m not clean, I’m not pristine
I’m no queen, I’m no machine
I still go to Taco Bell
Drive through, raw as hell
I don’t care, I’m still real
No matter how many records I sell
After the show or after the Grammies
I like to go cool out with the family
Sippin’, reminiscing on days when I had a Mustang
And now I’m in…
First class
Up in the sky
Poppin’ champagne
Livin’ my life
In the fast lane
And I won’t change
By the Glamorous, oh the flossy flossy
The glamorous,
The glamorous, glamorous
By the Glamorous, oh the flossy flossy
The glamorous,
The glamorous, glamorous
By the Glamorous, oh the flossy flossy
I’m talking Champagne wishes, caviar dreams
You deserve nothing but all the finer things
Now this whole world has no clue what to do with us
I’ve got enough money in the bank for the two of us
Brother gotta keep enough lettuce
To support your shoe fetish
Lifestyles so rich and famous
Robin Leach will get jealous
Half a million for the stones
Taking trips from here to Rome
So If you ain’t got no money take yo’broke ass home
