I treat a very select few people like sisters. I do not mean to be a snob but I do such to protect myself because i’ve been burned real bad by fake friendships from before. I guess it’s the self preserving factor that causes me to do so but I barely reveal myself and leave myself wide open to other people with the exception of my sister, my bestfriend Bea, Nina and my cousin Kix…who celebrated her 18th birthday last night at an intimate black, white, gray party at Yndigo Bar and Lounge at The Fort.
Kix has always been there for me through my crazy/beautiful 79 lbs and beyond drama filled episodes and I love her for never leaving my side or doubting me. She seriously is one of the few people who i know will have my back no matter what… with no questions asked. I love her. And I guess marking her 18 years of life required a high class and ultra-chic party that suits her perfectly.
So, I wore this dress from AMOUR MANILA courtesy of the very lovely Cheena that I really love. It was just so ME with the poufy skirt and all. I added blue satin gloves from Terranova (I got it in purple and black too!!!) to add drama that matched the blue feather bag I got especially for this night from Audrey from her bag line called TOCANDE. Ging, Nina and I all fell in love with the bag so we each got different colors of the bag in RED, PURPLE and this BLUE one. It brought out the flapper in us!!!
Nina and I wore feather bags and satin gloves that night. We were so 20s… i loved it! It was an early night and we felt so old being in the company of seventeen and eighteen year olds that we ended up dancing and not getting tipsy at all from that drink called Nicole’s Best. Simply Irresistible!!!
