We were invited to Bring it On’s opening night in San Francisco. It’s a musical about high school cheerleaders. Not that I can relate much, I was on Mathlete and the swim team. But something about the competitive sport of cheer leading and team work still struck a cord with me. The show’s theme was very positive and emphasized on how working hard at something will leave you with no regrets.
Some reasons to see it:
- The plot is very young, relevant, and entertaining
- The dancing was modern and hip – especially if you like hip pop.
- One of the male leads looks like Jacob from Twilight.
The cast members weren’t singing talents like Glee stars, some high notes were a little shaky. But hey, flaws only make us human, or cheerleaders.
