It’s my last day on campus before heading home for winter break and while it’s too cold to wear this for the rest of the day, I couldn’t wait to show off my brand spanking new Human t-shirt from District Lines. I first heard about it when one of my besties, Monique( follow her on tidalwaves.tumblr.com) had the shirt in purple on her Christmas wish list. Of course I happily obliged, and I liked the t-shirt so much I ordered this one in green for myself. It’s a great deal at only $15, and you can get the shirt in red, blue, and grey as well as green and purple. There are also posters of the design for $9.99, and all are designed by Tyler Oakley. You should definitely check out his t-shirts and accessories on District Lines-they’re fun and original must-haves for any fashionista. The t-shirt looks great with a black blazer and jeans like my Forever 21 blazer and American Eagle skinny jeans, and you can really rock the t with some fierce shoes and accessories like my Forever 21 leopard brogues and silver bracelet and ring, along with my signature Brahmin tote, tiger’s eye ring, and aviators. But the t-shirt looks just as fabulous on its own so everyone can see the real message of this fashion statement: No matter what your race, gender, religious/political beliefs, socioeconomic background, or sexual orientation, each and every one of us are children of God and we are all created equal, and therefore we should all be treated as such. When you can work your campus spreading a positive message of love and equality, that’s the best fashion statement of all.
