Gender appropriate dressing is a pretty hardfast paradigm, but don’t you feel the fashion tectonics shifting a little? Marc Jacob’s twee skirts and heeled boots and Kate Lamphear’s pleated trousers and strong blazers may signal that massive meshing of the sexes may be coming for fashion.
And my thoughts? BRING IT ON. I’d love nothing more than to double my options, and while it may take guys a little prodding to stick their feet into six inch stilettos (ok, maybe some sedating also), I’m sure they wouldn’t mind if carrying purses suddenly became okay.
My outfit to the YSL exhibit was a little bit sexy (see: sheer top, heels, liquid leggings) and a little bit strong (see: blazer, socks, glasses) that made me feel like a hermie in the best sense of the word.
And PS: Sorry Juliana for playing peekaboo with your drop crotch pants. But it was love at first sight! If there’s any article of clothing that screams androgyny more, it’s the drop crotch. And if the massiveness of Juliana’s pants pooch is any indication of her proverbial shlong, you guys had better watch out.

lovely look,indeed!
