I couldn’t have been more thrilled when I found this beautiful dress at a thrift store in Columbus for fifty cents! The only problem was that it was a child’s size 10. So, with a little help from a pair of scissors and some thread, I was able to create a better fit for my shape. By making the dress backless, I was able to incorporate another DIY project into the look: a tube bra. This was really cheap and simple to make, and I wear it so often in the warmer months. To make the tube bra, I just cut the waist off an old pair of patterned tights, folded the cut side under, and sewed it for a clean line. This entire look, with the sewing materials included, only cost me eight bucks!
