Cityscape Stripes

I was giddy to unearth this so-old-it’s-cool-again striped cable-knit sweater. A similar one is selling at J Crew for $79.50, whereas I paid only $2.50 for mine at the Salvation Army. This ensemble was thrown together in a hurry. I knew that I wanted to wear the sweater with my new chambray shirt. Then I thought cords would look best and, seeing as I only own one pair, eggplant it was. I opted for ballet flats because temps were in the 60s and, frankly, I needed a break from boots. I’ve been dying to wear my feathered fedora (which I got last year, but could never master in terms of styling) and this outfit seemed befitting of one, as was the silver bicycle necklace. All in all, my prepster get-up was ideal for the weather, for the occasion and for my mood.
