Thank you all for your lovely responses on my last post! I feel so strongly about the goals of the charity so you can imagine how thrilled I was to read your supportive messages. I hope some of you have entered the contest yourselves!

Right now I am loving 40s and 50s silhouettes with soft curls and rouge, great coats, faux-fur and little handbags. I love midcentury heroines in books and films, the starlets of film noir and Visconti films, and the princesses of dreamy folklore tales who roam forests in flowing dresses and capes. I love mystery dramas and femme fatales, women with big, long skirts in sultry, luxurious fabrics, floor grazing gowns, and crazy, unexpected hats. Who are your favourite stylish ladies?
