Being a New Yorker, I have an extensive black wardrobe and anyone can tell you that black is easy and always looks great. I also have a tendency to dress monochromatically because I love the sleek and elegant appearance one color dressing gives.
For me, the challenge is how to make black look interesting and fresh. I figured out a long time ago that if you mix your fabrics you could add depth and interest to a monochromatic look (especially if it’s black).
Here I pair my Theory leather top with a wool gabardine and silk trim Sinclair jacket, Diane Von Furstenberg cigarette trousers and the most divine Steve Madden Stiletto ankle boots. I accessorized with my brand new Khirma Elioziv python, lizard and shagreen clutch, Swarovski ring and Palomo Picasso Tiffany earrings.
