I am… The Hamburglar!
When I got back from Texas flat broke I figured there was no chance of me being able to whip up any sort of costume whatsoever.
I thought of a million things I wanted to be but there were key elements that I would need to buy or make and it couldn’t be done until I thought of The Hamburglar.
This costume literally cost me less then $5!
The black mask was a dollar find at Michaels.
The hat I already owned, bought a yard of yellow ribbon.
The shirt I already owned.
The tie is my boyfriend’s, I bought four pieces of felt and cut out and hot glued mini hamburgers.
The cape is black liner for a skirt that I have yet to make..
The red gloves were a dollar find at Target.
The skirt was not planned but the leggings I borrowed from Jessica weren’t opaque enough and therefore it became necessary.
The happy meal box I got for free ;]
And the shoes are my trusty converse!
I’d have to say… this last minute thrown together costume is one of my favorites of all time! I haven’t worn a store bought costume since the seventh grade and I never will again. They don’t even compare.
