leiann 's Thoughts:

admittedly, princess beatrice’s royal wedding outfit was very easy to recreate as i had the beige/nude staples…blazer, skirt, sandals & clutch. her famous fascinator (or “squid hat” as my husband likes to call it) was fairly easy to DIY as well. i took a foam circle i found at the craft store & wound it with beige ribbon. i had another round hairpiece that i also wrapped in the same fabric & sewed the 2 pieces together. the “tendrils” part was wired ribbon that because of the wire stayed up easily & didn’t flop over. i attached the whole contraption to a headband & teased my hair all underneath so it stayed on more securely instead of slipping off. because of the foam, it was fairly light & stayed up all night! voilá!
