Colder weather and surprise snow showers have me ready for full on winter wear: layers, scarves and furry accents! Phillip Lim created a gorgeous line of Lynus fur accessories around Fashion’s Night Out this year, bringing sophisticated pops of color into fur-accented bracelets, bags, and belts. Follow along below to DIY a Phillip Lim inspired fur band bracelet.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
- Strong craft glue
- 4" fur trim (you can order this online or in-store at M&J, they have an amazing selection of real and faux fur trim in an array of colors)
- A watch band
TUTORIAL:
[GLUE] – Lay a watch band down right-side-up on a work surface. Carefully spread some strong craft glue from the buckle of the band to right before the last hole.
[PLACE] – Take a 4-inch piece of fur trim and carefully place this down on the glue. Wait about 5 minutes for this to set.
[GLUE AND SET] – Flip the band over and glue the back of the trim down to cover the band.
Et voila! You now have a perfect bracelet to warm your wrists and perfectly accessorize your layered looks. Try making a few in some contrasting colors and stacking them for a bolder look.
