Fire Walk with Me

This is head-to-toe, a DIY’d costume. I went as one of my favorite characters in any show of movie: miss Audrey Horne from Twin Peaks! She’s demure, sexy, mysterious- and stylish! It took a while to get my longish hair this short and curly and to get the makeup just right! As for the outfit: I hemmed the long skirt to the proper length, painted these vintage Keds to look like black and white swing shoes, altered the knit top to fit like it would Audrey and added her signature dainty watch and hair pin for a final touch. The red cardigan was an added bonus! It looks very similar to the floor in the Twin Peaks series finale. I scored it at a thrift store just a few days before I went out for Halloween! Ooh! And I changed my light hazel eye color to a light blue like Audrey’s (with contacts); I’m a bit of a perfectionist. Folks actually recognized my character, so I believe that’s success!
