A few weeks ago, Red Bear picked up a big mixed candy bag from the store, and it turned out the whole family, Bob, Red Bear, and I all liked to eat one type of them only. So we all picked out that one flavor, and ignored the rest; right now it’s so hard to find that one favorite type of candy in the big box since everybody only picked that type and already ate them!
We were heading to Underwood Family Farm for Pumpkin Patch Festival today, I grabbed the candy box with me to the car. while we driving, I was so lucky to find one of that favorite type of candy and handed to Red Bear first. Few minutes later, I found another one (probably the LAST ONE in the box), so I asked Red Bear if I can give to Daddy, since Daddy loves this type of candy so much. Red Bear was thinking so hard but finally he said YES, let Daddy have it!
Bob pretended to eat the candy and said, “Thank you! Red Bear.” .. but he secretly put the last piece of favorite candy back in the box.
So I picked up that candy again, and said:”Hey, I found another one! Oh No! This is the last one! Can I eat it, Red Bear?”
Red Bear give me a answer without thinking instinctively : “No!”
I pretended to be very sad: “You got one, Daddy got one, but Mommy has none,……”
I looked at Red Bear through the mirror, his face was so serious, and his eyes looking at the candy in my hand, I know how much he love the candy.
Few minutes later, he said:, “OK, Mommy, you have it, since I had one one already.”
I was so touched in that moment, and opened the candy and handed it to him.
“Why you gave that to me?” he asked
“Because we love you!”…..
So how is your Halloween weekend? Red Bear is going to “trick or treat” tomorrow night for sure. I still have no idea what’s my costume will be. But for Red Bear? He is a “Superman”. :) I will show you some pictures next time.
