Originally this blazer was massive + I had my trustworthy tailor alter it to be a much better fit. I couldn’t bear to part with it as the awesome buttons and embroidered emblem had me hooked!
This was awhile ago and it seemed to have become one of those items hanging in the closet that is very good in theory, but not quite there on application.
Everyone has something like that, perhaps it comes down to fit, colouring, items to pair it with, accessories to match etc etc.
But I had enough this morning, and I was determined (even if I hated my outfit) that I was walking out the door with this particular blazer.
It’s a strange, but lovely, shade of red that I don’t think I will ever be able to match to exactly. So my only options are pretty much black.. and black. So I chose black.
(Oh and another excuse to wear the black bow headband that I am so fond of!)
It turned out as a fairly preppy outfit, but oh well! If they look that good in their preppy gear in Gossip Girl, why not give it a shot?
