Sparkle in this magical costume like I did last year during Halloween!

It takes just a little creativity and alot of glitter and sparkles to whip this DIY unicorn costume up. Start with different types of fabric – I chose white satin, this metallic purple and another glitter-infused turquoise mesh. I picked up various ribbons in the magenta, pink and purple family.

The white satin dress was bedazzled with glitter swirls and star stickers, while the rest of the fabric was used to make my cape, along with the curled ribbons.

A unicorn costume isn’t a unicorn without a horn! I used a cone-shaped styrofoam mold and hot glued it to a headband. The styrofoam cone was wrapped with ribbon with bedazzled jewels. When I actually had the horn headband on, I also wrapped a piece of my hair around it and pinned it on top! Sprayed it with glitter hairspray and voila!

The rest of the stickers and rhinestones were used to adorn the dress. I had some glitter stickers on my upper right back. All my makeup was shimmer, shimmer, shimmer! Lots of mascara and purple, pinkish eyeshadow.

Several years ago, I had gotten these BCBGeneration silver metallic heels for a steal from Nordstrom’s and never really had a chance to worn them. Finally, a time I was able to break them out! Check them out!

Threw on my giant rhinestone earrings and big rhinestone cuffs and bangles, I was good to go!

What do you think of my DIY Unicorn look?
