In case you don’t know, today is Spirit Day! It’s a day for everyone to come together and wear purple in support of LGBTQ youth and to stand up and show your solidarity against bullying. It’s a really important cause to me, and I’m proud to participate every year alongside The Trevor Project, MTV, GLAAD and many, many other organizations.
My lilac dress shirt is from American Apparel. My gray wool tie is from BDG. My black belt and shoes are from Kohl’s. Finally, my beige khaki pants are from Urban Outfitters.
You may ask, “Well, how is wearing purple going to change the world?” – and I would say that any time I can show someone who feels alone that they’re not, it is changing the world. Also, side-note, one of the coolest things about today is that the Founder actually wore a shirt that I sell in my Merchandise Shop this year to participate! Such a small world!
