I found this great little spot on my way home today, a mini garden of eden in between some houses, an alleyway with diffused lighting and great shrubbery. I thought todays color palette would pair up nicely with some nature, how bout them apples ! I’m not a big hat person because I feel like my small head swims in most head gear and makes me look like Im 5 years of age. And for some women looking younger is strived for, but when you resemble a troll, thats not so fabulous. But alas, the hat trend has caught up with me and this baby sat nicely perched on my cranium without swallowing me. I found it at Madewell, the brand is Scala.
This evening I ordered in from House of Nankin, a famous asian restaurant in the Financial District. I did this thinking the place is always packed so it must be good. To be honest I’ve become such a picky eater over the years and nothing really impresses my tastebuds much. I ordered the spicy soup which was good, but too sour, and the sesame chicken, which ended up being breaded which I’m not a fan of, was ok. Im not really impressed ! So I guess you shouldn’t go and jump off the cliff even if its the latest and most popular activity to do, it might not be too beneficial to your health.
This evening I’ve decided to watch Melancholia by director Lars von Trier. With this star studded cast, despite Lars’s very eccentric and hard to watch films in the past, i thought i might give this a go, will let you know how it went !
Herewith some photos of todays getup :
