Because September has begun and Autumn seems to be on it’s way two weeks earlier than expected, I am basically being forced to get out of the bed I have attached myself to all summer long, in order to say goodbye to the lazy and crazy and get back in touch with all of the reality I have missed out on. Saying that I am a “mess” all year round would not be far from the truth but lately I have been heading down this torturously long streak of well, unluckiness.
So there you have it, this blog is the start of something new for me. It is my declaration of a new beginning and this time, instead of downing a few shots of espresso, staying up all night, chopping off all of my hair to then watch the sun rise, I have chosen a less drastic and hopefully, more productive way to unleash the brand new and improved… me?
Okay so a few weeks ago, I was late in meeting up with my friends at the Mad Decent street festival when as I raced my way to where they were waiting, wobbling in my six-inch Litas that ( as comfortable as they may be) are not exactly the easiest to stay poised in while walking on cobblestone, and left sweaty and exhausted from being in the subway for so long, I felt someone catch up to me. It was a photographer and street contributor for Swagger: New York, who asked to take my picture and jot down my information. Here is the full editorial: Ruby in the Rough.
