The day was grey and gloomy but something in me still wanted to feel GLAM! To stay rain friendly, I chose an easy leopard print button down from H&M. The black and ivory color scheme felt a little luxe to me. Liquid leggings and patent riding boots were a bit of a nod to the slick wet streets and sidewalks and added a bit of edge to the look. I tied it all together with gold accessories and this inspired handbag. I usually loath the rain for the sake of my normally flat ironed hair, but the fact that I have been embracing my natural curly state keeps me from having to be concerned with frizz! I also switched up my hair from plain 2-strand twists to a braided faux hawk with twisted ends. Today the “hawk” is flipped over to one side, exposing one braided side. I think I might try bantu knots down the middle tomorrow to really play up the mow-hawk look. My photos were taken at a huge plantation style house, hence the title of today’s blog!
