I have a bevy of nervous habits. Licking my lips. Fiddling with my glasses. Baking stress cupcakes.
My most productive nervous habit though is knitting when I’m stressed. I picked this up in the beginning of college when I started falling asleep while I was studying for my finals. Keeping my fingers busy while reading was my way of ensuring that my eyes stayed open long enough. And bonus: I got a scarf at the end.
I just ran out of black yarn on this ribbed scarf I was making, and instead of going out to buy more, I decided to turn it into a tube (like a mini version of the American Apparel circle scarf, albeit WAY less versatile). When worn around my shoulders, it stands up in a very Margiela-like way, but I can also pull it up into a hood, or just bunch it around my neck.
Also, my pants are like really fug in this picture, but I promise you they’re actually kinda cute IRL. Helen? Back me up hereeee
