Otherwise sub-titled: You are the deer and the headlights are coming…
Today I want to talk about trends. Now, if you spend as much time on the site as I do (although I will go ahead and say doubt it), you might have noticed a predominant amount of the following:
-denim cut offs
-THAT Luella skirt
This is not necessarily a bad thing. Remember scrunchies? In no way is this anything like scrunchies.
But it does get to be a bit much when someone chooses to put it all together. Trends are not meant to be worn… all at the same time.
I know, I know, you’re excited to try something new and sometimes you get a little over-zealous. The key to avoiding trend overload is to just put it away for a few days. Let the item sit in your inventory for awhile – until it becomes just another piece in your wardrobe.
Then, when that fateful day comes and you’re desperately looking in your drawer for something to wear. Voila!
You should probably have a better idea of how to incorporate it into your existing wardrobe by then. And who knows, it might not even be a trend anymore (that’s a good thing).
I hope this didn’t make anyone too paranoid.
PER SPECIAL REQUEST: I will put up a picture tomorrow of me wearing all of these things at once.
