…Or something like that. To be quite honest, lately I haven’t been in the mood to look great. Looming finals and paper deadlines are really bringing me down and although there’s only two or so weeks left until complete freedom, it’s definitely taking its toll on me. Maybe I’ve grown to care too much about my appearance but I can’t bring myself to step out in clothes that reflect how I look inside because, well, I’LL LOOK LIKE CRAP.
What’s left, then? FAKING IT! Actually, I’m talking about faking an outward chic look while still feeling comfortable as you try to get through these tough days.
ANNABEL’S FIVE EASY CLOTHING TIPS:
1. LOOSE TUNIC TOP/DRESS
2. TIGHTS OR LEGGINGS
3. BOOTS OR FLATS
4. OVERSIZED CARDIGAN/SWEATER
5. SIMPLE ACCENT/ACCESSORY
And done! I’m wearing a dress from UO, cardigan & tights from H&M, and booties from Thrift Town.
As for my hair, well… here’s a little confession: I haven’t brushed or washed my hair in DAYS. I’m way too embarrassed to say how many. Simplest solution? A creative up do! My hair didn’t photograph well in these pictures but I put it up with bobby pins and accented it with a silk flower from H&M. Take advantage of the amazing hair accessories at UO, H&M, and F21!! They’re not only easy to put on but they also add an extra flair to an otherwise plain outfit.
Finishing touches: light makeup and tinted lip moisturizer. Easy, right? I may not feel great inside but damn it, at least I look decent, haha.
xoxo,
annabel
