Yes, one and three are the same. you just pull the fabric over one shoulder and tie a knot.

When I first got it in the mail, I was really angry that I paid $30 for a blanket sewn at the ends.

I tried following the instructions on the AA website to no avail.

After experimenting by myself with a skinny black belt, I was impressed! The “dresses” that I created draped wonderfully and actually held in their place.

(Last photo: When you wear this as an actual scarf without looping, it gets lumpy on the bottom and looks like faux drop crotch pants. LOL)
