So now that Hurricane Irene has passed by I can leave my house again! My town received minimal damage luckily but the area near my on-campus apartment flooded, including a major highway that’s currently closed off. Good thing I went home! I hope everyone else in the path of Irene stayed safe this past weekend. Be sure to check for your local Red Cross shelters to see if they could use a helping hand! :)
