when it comes to design aesthetics, i’m convinced that i am pretty bipolar. on one extreme i love terribly girly frills, exaggerated proportions, and bright complementary colors. on the other, i prefer simple, discreet pieces where details are key to making them feel special.
this is a perfect example of the latter. your average shirtdress with a shift on sleeve placement. b&w is as neutral as it gets. it’s like a canvas prepped for painting.
which leads me to accessories! i am wearing a tarnished rosary, a couple of studded wristbands, some silver friendship rings i’ve kept for ages, and this old hat from my buddy, ace. who only gave it to me when he came to the conclusion that girls + fedora = sexay! whereas a guy + fedora = douchebag.
and to give credit where credit is due, this was inspired by fashrash’s t-shirt dress… because her legs touch the ceiling, and because everyone loves a girl who makes random interpol references.
anyway, happy turkey day, babies! hope you all enjoy your extended weekend. now if you’ll pardon, i’m going stuff my face silly with leftovers and fall into a carbohydrate coma…
