10. Woman Got Fired for Not Dying Her Hair
Instead of being ousted for not wearing makeup, this week a 52-year-old woman claimed that she was fired for not dying her gray hair. Take note that she was an office manager for years at the company. When refused to dye her hair, the woman was replaced by a younger woman who was in her 40s. The company responded that they had to let her go since “there would be no job left for her” due to a customer not wanting to work with her anymore. Due to just one customer? Sounds sketchy.
09. Victoria Beckham Names Baby After Wizards of Waverly Place Series!
Congrats to former Posh Spice for giving birth to a healthy baby girl on Sunday! Turns out Victoria’s kids loved the Wizards of Waverly Place series so much that they named their baby sis after one of the characters, Harper. Rules out the rumour that the Becks named their daughter after the fashion magazine, Harper’s Bazaar and tv show, Seinfeld. Though, Bazaar for a middle name doesn’t sound too bad.
08. Zappos Uses Nudity for Latest Ad
Does nudity ever really sell clothes – especially in the commercial market? Zappos appears to think so, hence their new ad featuring a female sans clothing riding a scooter. Ironically, they plastered the words, “More than Shoes!” over the model’s body. The ad campaign includes other models of different sizes in the nude as well, contributing to Zappos’ “quirky culture.” Too bad you can’t see the rest of them till later this fall. So, Chictopians, quirky or racy?

07. Cosmo for Guys Will Launch This August
Apparently GQ and Maxim don’t provide enough relationship advice to men out there. And, yes, that’s why a Cosmo for Guys will be launching this fall for the IPad. In a form of an app, guys can purchase the app anonymously while enjoying sultry tips from the Cosmo writers. However, heed warning when your guy starts to talk Cosmo language with you.
06. Lady Gaga May Intern for Designer of Princess Beatrice’s Hat!
As if singing, dancing, and tweeting to her little monsters weren’t enough, there’s one more job that Lady Gaga may take up in the near future: designing hats. Philip Treacy, who designed Princess Beatrice’s hat, revealed in the recent Guardian UK interview that Lady Gaga may just intern for him. Does that mean she’ll have to get coffee for him, too?
05. Pauly D Wants to Hire You (Only if You’re Pretty)
Even if you can’t intern for Philip Treacy, you may have a shot with Reality Star, Pauly D. If you’ve been keeping up with our Everybody Is Ugly’s tweets, we told you that Pauly D wanted to hire interns for his new line, Dirty Couture (don’t confuse that with JWOW’s Filthy Couture). The Craigslist ad (yes, that free Craigslist) went up earlier this week detailing the internship that applicants should be college graduates and be in the New York/New Jersey area. Also, making sure that he’s not hiring grenades, you must send a photo along with your resume. Need not to apply anymore – the ad is now long gone. In the meantime, why not check out several polka dot pieces (and all under $20) – not inspired by the Jersey Shore cast?
04. Sneak Peak: Kardashian Sisters’ Nail Kolour Kollaboration
Exciting news for Kim, Khloe, and Kourtney as their nail polish collaboration with Nicole by OPI is coming true. Yes, you can get your hands on all 14 colours like “Kourt is Red-y for a Pedi” (an orange-reddish hue) or a baby pink colour labeled as "“Kim-pletely in Love.” Great to see the wacky nail polish labels that OPI is known for. Wonder if Karl Lagerfeld will be using their nail polishes for his sketches?

03. Helmut Lang Shreds 6,000 Clothes to Make Art
He’s either grateful or tired of the fashion industry, but retired designer Helmut Lang sure loves art. He’s already donated a lot of his clothing to museums since his retirement, but he’s just had the remaining 6,000 pieces shredded – so they can turn into sculptures. Yes, all that clothing are now in forms of columns in the exhibit at the Hamptons.. If you’re in the area, make sure to catch the display from July 22 – August 8th.
02. Topshop Forced to Remove Ad Due to Anorexic Claims
Model Codie Young has always been known for her thin frame, but she garnered more attention from protesters due to her recent Topshop ad. Protesters claim the image of Codie in the belted dress promotes anorexia and eating disorders. Though Topshop denied these claims, they did replace the image on the ad with a healthier looking Codie wearing a red and yellow ensemble. In fact, Topshop claims that Codie Young is a healthy UK size 8 (approximately to US size 0). Whether it’s considered ‘healthy’ or not, you have to admit that she does look gaunt (and gone) in that belted dress.

01. Is that Paris Hilton or Claudia Schiffer in V Magazine?
Atypical of shooting high-glam shots, Paris Hilton looks amazing in the latest editorial of V Magazine. Shot in black and white with blunt bangs and a solemn gaze, Paris looks more like Claudia Schiffer than the party heiress herself. Here’s hoping that this mini ‘makeover’ will be enough to change her act. (Look how Nicole Richie turned out, she’s a glamorous fashionista now)! See more of the photos here!
