10. Gillette Features Pube-Tastic Towels
To promote Gillette razors (and proper shaving ettiqutte), their advertising company placed thousands of towels that featured male and female pubic hair all over Germany’s grassy areas. Technically, the towels were strategically cut out so that the grass seeping through would make them look like the person’s pubic hair. Might Lady Gaga need one of those razors?
09. Say Bye Bye to Miley Cyrus’s Walmart Collab
We haven’t been hearing much of Miley Cyrus these days, and you probably won’t see much of her clothes anymore either. No, not in that way. Miley Cyrus’s Walmart collaboration isn’t doing so hot lately and is possibly facing the next cut. Talk about more bad news for Miley. In the meantime, we suggest you to cop Khloe Kardashian’s style for cheap!
08. Usher Wants Pippa Middleton to Model His Underwear
Yes, Usher wants Pippa Middleton and wants her badly. Usher wants to launch a lingerie line and wants Pippa to be his main model since she has the most talked about bum right now. But, will Pippa sign on? Well, he was able to get Justin Bieber sign to his record label. This new collaboration may actually work out.
07. Kmart Ads Look A Lot Like American Apparel’s
It seems that Kmart is following American Apparel’s footsteps when they released their new ads featuring real people rather than actual models. One of these people includes fashion blogger Christina of TropRouge who’s also a fellow Chictopian! Congratulations Christina for the gig!
06. Website Takes Jabs on Madonna’s ‘New Face’
Photos of Madonna arriving at the JFK Airport earlier this week showed her sans makeup and looking younger than ever. British website, Daily Mail, revealed reasons for Madonna’s younger look which may include botox, two nose jobs, cheek fillers, chin enhancement, eyelid surgery, and a face lift. Let’s her some slack – she did say she fat that one time.
05. Giorgio Armani Thinks D&G and Prada Make Ugly Clothes
Now that men’s fashion week in Milan is under wraps, Giorgio Armani certainly has a lot to say about Prada’s and D&G’s collection. Armani claimed that and Prada and D&G makes “clownish styles” that men wouldn’t generally wear. Come on, if we see a guy who can rock this colourful top from the Prada Spring 2012 collection, we’d certainly wouldn’t want to change his style.
04. Trending Now: ‘Bagel’ Looking Foreheads
Forget piercings and dark makeup, this is what’s trending in Japan’s scene kids – bagelheads. Japanese scene kids are going as far as injecting saline into their foreheads so that it’ll swell up to look like a donut/forehead. Don’t worry though these are only temporary and the swelling dies down about a day later. But maybe someone should inform this guy that his forehead looks more ‘butthead’ than ‘bagelhead.’
03. John Galliano Faces Jail Time and Kate Moss’s Wedding Dress?
Talk about a double whammy for Designer John Galliano who recently got fired from Dior for his anti-semantic claims. Although he went to trial this past Wednesday, a verdict will be made sometime in fall. What’s more interesting is that it was rumoured that he would design Kate Moss’s wedding dress. No word if that’s still true, but her wedding is only a week away.
02. Protesters want Photoshopping in Ads Banned!
The American Medical Association wants to ban photoshopping in ads due to the fact that it may influence eating disorders and other health problems in young children. Photoshopping may not necessarily be a bad thing since it can be another form of ‘makeup,’ but just don’t go overboard.
01. Dress Dispenses Alcohol When You Tell the Truth
Talk about the most high-tech (and coolest) thing you’ve heard all week (and all year, we bet). But, this dress may be your go-to clothing when playing a classic game of Truth or Dare. Designed for social events, Dutch designer designed a dress where it pours out alcohol (or milk) when you or your buddies are telling the truth. This dress totally tops the beer can hat.
