I had fun at Yeasayer’s concert last night. I watched and danced to two fairly interesting opening bands- the first one (Hush Hush) was really upbeat. As for the second, Smith Westerns seemed to play fairly well. Supposedly from what I would hear, opening bands tends to be dull….however, definitely not the ones I saw last night! And of course, Yeasayer, the band we intended to see, was vivacious. I left feeling that it all went by too quickly, which means San Francisco’s Fillmore was quite an awesome venue!
Now how did my outfit affect my night? Well for one, I just like my sailor dress—a classic motif in most eras of women’s clothing from the 21st century. It may be too cute and doll-like for Yeasayer, but I don’t really put much thought into themes and dress codes of such when it comes to an indie concert. At least I was comfortable wearing something that functions well through heat and being able to dance at a limited space. Otherwise, I can’t wait to wear this dress again when it gets a lot warmer in Northern California. :D
