By now I’m sure you’ve all heard of Pippa Middleton—the bodacious sister of recent royal Kate (Catherine if you’re feeling proper), whose every move (past and present) is suddenly breaking news. While we won’t get into her topless escapades in Ibiza, it’s time to discuss her new status in the fashion world. Will she steal Kate’s position as the Grace Kelly of tomorrow or is she simply a hyped royal sister?

You probably can guess how Pippa’s story goes—she is Kate’s sister, after all. The second eldest child of the Middleton family has so far lived a mostly charmed life. Despite seemingly ordinary beginnings, the family soon became millionaires thanks to their mother’s entrepenurial skills. Pippa attended Marlborough College in Wiltshire and later went on to study English literature at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland. She worked for a few years in PR, and currently helps with her parents’ business. Pippa has also earned the title of socialite after being named #1 Society SIngleton by British magazine “Tatler” in 2008.
Pippa Middleton became a household name on April 29, 2011, the day her sister married the Prince of England. Many say that Pippa stole the show and outshone her sister in a form-fitting white crêpe gown, designed by Sarah Burton of Alexander McQueen. She set the internet on fire, with Google searches of “pippa middleton dress,” “is pippa middleton single?,” and several Facebook pages dedicated to her perky behind.
As for her style, Pippa wears modest, classically chic looks that flatter her shape and show a bit of personality. Like Kate, she favors clothing in shades of blue, as well as greens and neutrals. Right now, her style is mostly hype (one bridesmaid dress does not a style icon make), but I think that she definitely has the potential to be iconic. Her recent fame is the perfect stepping stone..it’s up to Pippa whether she will take advantage of this new title!
