No, friends, your eyes have not deceived you. That most certainly is a blue oxford button-down shirt I’m wearing. With a sweater. With loafers. Loafers! In fact, ever since seeing so many perfect pairs prance down the Fall runways, I’ve been on a bit of a loafer spree. I scored these little light blue lovelies on eBay. Adore them.

The preppy look for me really shouldn’t surprise any of you. For readers who knew me in grade school, you might recall how I sported Tommy Hilfiger and Polo with the best of them. For my new friends, I believe that I have made my obsession with the nautical trend very clear; prep is the natural next step. Don’t worry, I won’t get within 10 feet of bucket hats or Sperry topsiders. Ever. You have my word.
