well, just wanna as you mentioned that petite should use high waisted..yes I'm a petite BUT I have pear shape :( so I have no courage to wear high waisted and mostly I wear loose shirt or dress or boyfriend jackets to hide my lower body. I'm afraid if I use fit to body shirt or dress, or wear the belt in waist, it'll be shaped my fat hip. help me please !!! ><

the list of famous tinkerbells made me feel so much better about my height - I'm 5'3" (actually it might be 5'2.5" but i always say 3 haha) - which i'm eternally being teased for by family and friends who are all taller than me!

I'm the same height as Natalie Portman, Mila Kunis, and Dakota Fanning? Yay! I love them all. I agree that high-waists help (double yay, love those!). Very helpful.

Great post! At a mere 4'11'' these tips are so great to keep in mind! However, I'd also like to add: don't be afraid to try it! Sometimes it's fun to wear whatever you want no matter what your size my be! (def agree with the capris tip though haha!)

I'm only 5'0 and someone told me to do the high-waisted outfits before but I also have a short torso (but heavy chest for my height). Most of the time, I don't like how high-waisted bottoms make my torso even shorter and my chest bigger. Is there any way to cheat my body into a better form even with high-waisted bottoms?

Before i read this article, couple of days ago I bought a short tulip skirt and something was wrong.. I could't match it to anything, until I put the top inside the skirt and showed the waist (of course !!!), plus a thin belt and voila!.. I'm 5'4" though, but the trick works as well.

I was overjoyed when I read that Gaga is only an inch taller than me. No wonder she can pull off such crazy shoes. I second all of these points, especially making the legs look longer and the torso shorter. It definitely helps!

cute article, I love that Lady Gaga is 5'1 and still larger than freaking life :) I'm 5'2 with short legs and a long torso, and your reminder to wear skinny belts over loose shirts and slim full length jeans is much appreciated! As much as I love the Olsens' style, The still do look a little stumpy in huge top garments and skinny leggings on high stilettos. Love platforms <3 :)

Love you for this article Crystal! I dont think Natalie Portan is that tall or short ;-). I bumped into her when I was in New York. She was almost my height...and I barely 5 feet. Hobbitsize. Hurray for massive platforms. I hope ballet flats will never come back in style.
