I think I do like your alterations better! It really adds a new dimension to the dress, and makes it look like it SHOULD have been made that way all along! Way to go, its lovely!

I like the remake! :) I think it looks good either way, but remaking pieces always gets a yes from me. I agree with Sarah, as long as it's avoiding cutting and you can remake it again later, then I say go for it. :)

As I mentioned on your blog, you should definitely remake it. If you can avoid cutting it then great but if not, then still do it. If Rachel Zoe can alter a Chanel runway original gown then you can alter a LanvinxHM dress :)

I like the shape of the neckline better in the original, but the straps of the altered idea. So if you keep the original neckline, which I think is probably only tweaked because (I'm assuming) you tucked the nude panel down, do it with the black straps! So cute. AMAZING dress, either way.

I would like it if it were a mesh because figure skating is AWESOME but the fabric is opaque and silky, even weirder! :D

this dress is gorgeous! i think it looks great either way, but i really love the black halter straps. the black is a nice contrast to the red and adds to the belt and shoes. +1
