I shrunk my YAYA!

So before I knew about NOT throwing your 100% alpaca sweaters into the washer… I tossed this YA-YA sweater into my cold wash thinking it would be allllllllllll right. Not only did everything end up smelling like wet barn animals, this sweater shrunk about 2 sizes. Leaving me with a baby-sized sweater (XXXS anyone?). So I shoved it under the rest of my sweaters, thinking one day I’d run into a seamstress who could magically bring it back to life. Or that I would give it to my daughter to wear in elementary school (which would be about…. 20 years away based on my current age).

Well, it was a chilly day and I didn’t want to take a jacket, so I finally decided to shimmy into it.

The bust/armpit area was the problem, but going braless seemed to solve it. Fit like a very tight glove. It’s stretched a bit since wearing it, I think. I bet there would be more hood-action going on though if I hadn’t been so careless.
