I’ve been listening to a lot of Dolly Parton lately. After nearly four-and-a-half decades of number 1 singles, she remains one of the most successful female artists in the country music genre. I must admit that I don’t listen to a lot of country music. But there is something very distinctive about Dolly’s songs. Her 1974 album entitled Jolene is my favorite, with the title track a karaoke staple of mine (although, this is only after a few drinks and sounds nothing like Ms. Parton’s original). I dream of visiting Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee for one of her frequent music festivals. Perhaps my next vacation destination?
I could imagine myself wearing this outfit during my trip to Dollywood. The bold and colorful print of this thrifted dress reminds me of an impressionist-era painting. I paired it with my forest green shoulder bag and my favorite 1970s sandals (they never leave my feet!) And since the sun has been shinning lately, I brought along my boater hat.
