I picked up this sequinned bow headband yesterday + immediately thought it would go perfectly with my ever faithful ‘Audrey’ dress + black leather gloves. I absolutely adore the simplicity + classic silhouette of this dress + how it can always be thrown on and make you feel instantly fabulous! (I think of it as my equivalent to the ‘Elizabeth Taylor’ dress Charlotte wears in SATC after her miscarriage.. an instant pick-me-up!)
Although, I did feel like I missed something when I found myself ready in a matter of moments this morning.. but I guess this is why classic style is ‘classic’: it’s simple, elegant + always suits despite fashion trends.
I found this fantastic LBD a few months back for $3 in one of my favourite op shops + it is in perfect condition, imagine my excitement! I’m sure this is a dress I will keep + continually wear for a long time: I love everything about it!
Due to my recent lust/addiction for hair accessories, it has really got me longing for the next races I can get dolled up for + wear something superbly avant-garde in my hair! I’m sure there aren’t any for awhile, being winter and all.. Oh well, a girl can always imagine!
PS: yes it is still winter here, I wore my black coat with gold buttons over the top to keep me from freezing!
